Man Utd ‘in talks’ to seal £25m transfer after Bryan Mbeumo as ‘agreement close’ -Reports

Man Utd are actively working on the next phase of their summer transfer window while pushing for Bryan Mbeumo.

Juventus are locked in talks with Manchester United and Jadon Sancho over a potential summer transfer, according to reports. Sancho’s exit could be the next deal on United’s to-do list once the club finally strike an agreement with Brentford for Bryan Mbeumo.

Brentford rejected an initial bid worth £45million plus £10m in add-ons before rebuffing a second offer totalling £62.5m, including £7.5m in bonuses. United are expected to return to the negotiating table with a third approach in the coming days as they work towards signing Mbeumo before pre-season begins on Monday.

However, in the background, the Red Devils are working on player sales to fund the remainder of Ruben Amorim’s summer transfer window.

And Sancho appears to be one of the first-team stars closest to an exit, among those Amorim deems surplus to requirements.

According to Sky Sports, Juventus and United are holding discussions over a deal, with the Old Trafford giants demanding £25m.

Chelsea were supposed to pay that fee, in line with the obligation to buy Sancho in his loan contract last season

But the Blues opted against honouring the agreement and instead paid a £5m fine to send Sancho back to Manchester this summer.

While Juventus are actively pushing for the 25-year-old winger, it’s been described as a difficult deal to complete due to a required pay cut
