Alejandro Garnacho appears to have said his goodbyes at Old Trafford following the club’s 2-0 win over Aston Villa on the final day of the Premier League season.
Man United secured a 15th place finish in the Premier League after they denied Aston Villa Champions League football in controversial fashion.
Villa looked to have taken the lead after Morgan Rogers stole the ball from Atlay Bayinder, however, referee Thomas Bramall had already blown his whistle for a foul on the United goalkeeper.
Despite being the club’s second highest goalscorer for the season, Garnacho was left out of the matchday squad by Ruben Amorim .
This comes after it was revealed by The Athletic’s David Ornstein that Amorim informed the squad he would be keeping his job and ordered the 20-year-old to find a new club this summer.
“The final will influence [my decision] but the whole season, the situation of the club. I’m going to try to enjoy the summer and see what happens afterward.”
With Garnacho’s future lying away from Old Trafford, journalist Chris Wheeler has reported that Manchester United have set a £60–70 million price tag on the winger.
The former Atletico Madrid academy starlet was a hot topic during the January transfer window, with Chelsea and Napoli both heavily linked to the youngster.
