Gary Neville and Jamie Carragher clash again in fierce Man United and Liverpool debate

Gary Neville has had yet another fierce debate with Jamie Carragher about who the biggest club is between Manchester United and Liverpool.

United have endured one of the toughest seasons in the club’s history, which culminated in the defeat to Tottenham Hotspur in the Europa League final earlier this week.

Ruben Amorim’s side will now face Aston Villa in their final Premier League fixture of the season this Sunday. United can only finish as high as 14th in the table, but could also end up 17th if results go against them on the final day as they end the campaign without a major trophy.

In contrast, Liverpool are already confirmed as Premier League champions to take their total of top-flight titles up to 20, level with United’s record.

Sky Sports posted a video on YouTube which showed Neville and Carragher arguing about which is the biggest club between United and Liverpool. The topic led to a fierce debate between the two pundits.

Jamie Carragher: “Well, it’s not any more, is it?”

GN: “No, hang on.”

JC: “We had this one before – it was hilarious. He actually owned up to it, he said it on TV.”

JC: “He said it on NBC, his new friends who he does his little bits with.”

What Neville had actually said to the Premier League’s United States broadcaster on April 27th, was: “The accolade of the most successful club—today the debate is over. It’s Liverpool Football Club.”
