Player has finally found club after leaving Manchester United – Caught a flight today, contract sorted

Christian Eriksen appears to have finally secured a new club following his departure from Manchester United this summer, with a potential transfer to VfL Wolfsburg in the works.

This information comes from Tipsbladet, which reports that the former Manchester United player has reached a contractual agreement with the German team.

The Danish midfielder departed Manchester United on a free transfer during the summer and has expressed a preference for joining a European club rather than remaining in the Premier League after his tenures at Tottenham, United, and Brentford.

However, finding a new club has proven more challenging than anticipated, as the 33-year-old has been training with Swedish club Malmö FF to keep up his fitness levels.

This situation has drawn criticism from figures such as Thomas Gravesen, who suggested it reflects a lack of ambition on Eriksen’s part. It remains to be seen how he feels about the prospect of joining Wolfsburg.

Nevertheless, Tipsbladet indicates that contractual terms have been agreed upon with Eriksen, and only the final details need to be addressed.

In fact, a plane is reported to have flown from Odense to Braunschweig today with Eriksen aboard. He is expected to undergo a medical examination and subsequently sign his contract with the Bundesliga team.

This development will conclude a brief saga surrounding the Danish midfielder, who may have anticipated securing a new club sooner after his exit from Manchester United this summer.
