Mason Mount agreed he had his best 20 minutes in a Manchester United shirt but his sensational cameo performance led to a comment which plenty of TNT Sports viewers disagreed with.
Mount came off the bench with United trailing 1-0 in the second leg of their Europa League semi-final against Athletic Bilbao, who took the lead through Mikel Jauregizar.
Though Ruben Amorim‘s side were leading 3-1 on aggregate after the first leg heroics, they were far from comfortable until Mount entered the fray along with Luke Shaw and Amad.
The England international followed up his goal against Brentford with a fine turn and finish to make it 4-1 on aggregate and ease any worries and after goals from Casemiro and Rasmus Hojlund, Mount capped things off and made it 7-1 on aggregate with a stunning second from just inside the Athletic half after a poor clearance from Julen Agirrezabala.
