Fiorentina’s striker Moise Kean is reportedly receptive to a return to the Premier League this summer, as interest from Manchester United continues to grow, according to Sky Switzerland journalist Sacha Tavolieri.
The Italian forward has attracted considerable attention in England following a remarkable season in Serie A and is said to be willing to join a Champions League contender, provided his financial expectations are satisfied.
Manchester United is believed to have reached out to Kean’s representatives in recent weeks to assess the 25-year-old’s interest in a possible summer transfer.
Kean has a release clause set at €50 million (£42 million), which will become effective on July 1, and Fiorentina is unlikely to consider negotiations for a reduced amount.
Kean Wants Premier League Return
As reported by Tavolieri, multiple English clubs have recently reached out to Kean’s representatives, including Manchester United, who view the Italian as a viable alternative to Viktor Gyokeres.
Arsenal is currently at the forefront of the competition to acquire the Sporting Lisbon striker, prompting United to explore other options, including Kean, who is enjoying a career-best season at Fiorentina. The ‘exceptional’ striker, known for his ‘blistering pace,’ has made a significant impact in Serie A this season, netting 17 goals and providing three assists in 30 matches.
He currently ranks second among the league’s top scorers, trailing only Atalanta’s Mateo Retegui, who has scored 24 goals in 33 appearances. Manchester United is preparing for a busy first summer under Ruben Amorim and is expected to pursue a new striker following a disappointing domestic season.
The Red Devils are on track for their worst-ever finish in the Premier League, currently positioned 16th in the standings with two matches left to play.
