SACKED! Manchester United Manager Axed After Poor Run of Form – Confirmed

The notion that Manchester United manager Ruben Amorim could be sacked is nothing short of laughable. And sums up what a bonkers and fickle world football now is. Those who think Amorim should be dismissed if he doesn’t win the Europa League are living on a different planet altogether. There are some who even believe Ruud Van Nistelrooy should return for the final two games of the season. I’m not kidding.

Amorim should actually be congratulated for getting United to the showpiece game in Bilbao. People have forgotten what Amorim inherited when he took charge in November. Because accepting the job in the first place was his biggest mistake. But he hasn’t caused the problems United have. He’s been asked to solve them. His most high-profile player, Marcus Rashford, was closing in on a decision to leave his hometown club. His most experienced defender Luke Shaw has spent so much time injured he’s made fewer appearances in 11 years than Bruno Fernandes has made in five. Then there was Antony. Arguably the worst signing United have ever made. And all of the above is just the tip of the iceberg. Amorim is surrounded by players of bang average ability. Couple this with an attitude of unfounded arrogance and self-entitlement – and the outcome is inevitable.

Like he said, he has a group which have no problem with losing games. People should be grateful Amorim is honest.

He’s not glossing over the problems with the compensation of place in a European final. Like Erik ten Hag did by banging on about winning two domestic cups.

While the club’s crippling financial situation means Amorim has a billionaire boss, in the shape of Sir Jim Ratcliffe, who cannot give him the funds needed to sign the players he wants and needs
