Ahead of the summer transfer window, Mason Greenwood, a former Manchester United striker, is reportedly drawing interest from the Premier League.
Greenwood has had an incredible debut season in France after leaving United last summer to sign a £26.6 million contract with Marseille. The 23-year-old has scored 19 goals in 34 games, with just Ousmane Dembele bettering his goal record.
Earlier in the season, Greenwood seemed undroppable by Roberto De Zerbi’s team, but a string of mishaps have raised questions about whether he will remain with Les Phoceens for the upcoming campaign.
Criticism of his work rate from supporters and then attitude by De Zerbi have seen stories link him with a move elsewhere. Saudi Pro League clubs have been eager, while Barcelona have been credited with interest earlier.
Although it is believed that Greenwood would likely transfer to Italy or Spain, people close to the striker have conjectured that Premier League clubs are becoming more interested, according to The Telegraph.
According to reports in France, at least two Premier League clubs are reportedly mulling a move for the Manchester United academy graduate, who is ‘pining’ for a return to the north of England.
