Man Utd ‘to be offered’ shock midfielder as part of wild swap deal for Rasmus Hojlund as club look to move him on

Rasmus Hojlund’s Premier League days could be numbered and a switch to another of Europe’s giants is potentially on the cards for the struggling Manchester United striker.

Man Utd are understood to be willing to allow Hojlund to move on and there is reported interest from a league he knows well.

The Danish striker has struggled to rise above United’s rank mediocrity to show his worth since moving to Old Trafford in 2023 and the former Atalanta man could be in line for a surprising second crack at Serie A.

After scoring late in United’s Europa League semi-final win over Athletic Club, Hojlund is widely reported to be a top target for Turin titans Juventus, who sit in fourth place in Italy’s top division but don’t have a single player in double figures for league goals in 2024-25.

There are various reasons for that, most notably the injury problems of the highly capable Dusan Vlahovic, but Hojlund doesn’t seem to be the most obvious answer.

Nevertheless, the Bianconeri are apparently keen and willing to send a midfielder back to the Premier League in order to help facilitate Hojlund’s capture.

Douglas Luiz knows England’s top flight inside-out. The Brazilian, now 26, was unable to play for Manchester City’s first team in his time there because of his work permit situation and subsequently played 175 times in the Premier League for Aston Villa, where he was incredibly popular with supporters in the years after their promotion from the Championship.

According to Tuttosport via FootballFanCast, Luiz could be part of any negotiations.
