Manchester United is proposing a more lucrative salary to Wolverhampton Wanderers forward Matheus Cunha compared to their Premier League competitors Newcastle, as reported by MailOnline journalist Craig Hope. The Red Devils are progressing in their efforts to secure the 25-year-old forward as Ruben Amorim’s inaugural summer acquisition at Old Trafford and are reportedly leading Newcastle in this pursuit.
While Eddie Howe’s team has considered Cunha as a viable winger option in the transfer market, alongside Brentford’s Bryan Mbeumo, the Magpies now appear to have diminished prospects of acquiring the Brazilian following his standout season under Vitor Pereira at Wolves.
Cunha has netted 15 goals and provided six assists in 30 league matches this season, making him Wolves’ leading scorer in the competition with three games left to play.
