Inter Milan are reportedly preparing to launch a pursuit of a Manchester United player shortly after their Champions League final.
With just a couple of matches left for practically for almost every European club this season, football fans are already starting to look ahead to what is expected to be a very active summer transfer window.
However, Ligue 1 powerhouse Paris Saint-Germain will play a team who beat the odds on their way to the final in an attempt to capture their first Champions League championship before the window opens.
The Italian team is reportedly considering making a move for a Manchester United front soon after the Champions League final, so that hasn’t stopped them from starting to work on landing some big deals in the summer.
Joshua Zirkzee has undoubtedly fallen short of expectations at United since joining from Serie A team Bologna in July 2024.
Despite just scoring three Premier League goals in 32 games this season, Inter Milan is allegedly considering signing the Dutchman this summer.
Zirkzee’s better play in the second half of the season has delighted Inter Milan, who think he can compete with their first-choice forwards Marcus Thuram and Lautaro Martinez, according to Italian publication Corriere dello Sport.
They would rather agree to a loan arrangement with a buyout option if he performs as expected, but they are not currently open to a simple sale.
According to reports, Inter manager Simone Inzaghi is worried about the quality difference between his starting forwards and squad options Marko Arnautovic and Medhi Taremi, and Zirkzee would be the perfect candidate to address this problem.
According to reports, Inter will also want to acquire Serie A forwards Nico Paz, Giacomo Raspadori, and Ange-Yoan Bonny if a deal cannot be reached.
When rumors of a deal with Juventus started to circulate, Zirkzee was previously connected to returning to Italy during the winter transfer window.
However, it appears that his interest may no longer exist after the Italian giants sacked, who managed Zirkzee at Bologna.
