Barcelona interested in two Manchester United academy graduates

Undoubtedly, the attacking trio of Lamine Yamal, Robert Lewandowski, and Raphinha at FC Barcelona has exhibited exceptional performance this season, establishing themselves as one of the premier frontlines in Europe.

Nevertheless, the Blaugranes are actively seeking to enhance their attack in the forthcoming summer transfer window and have been associated with numerous players over the past few months.

Barcelona interested in two English forwards

As reported by TBR Football, Barcelona is currently focusing on two players to enhance their attacking options: Marcus Rashford and Mason Greenwood.

The report further indicates that the club is also considering the acquisition of Canadian striker Jonathan David, who is viewed as a potential long-term successor to Robert Lewandowski in the Blaugrana lineup.

In addition to pursuing the Canadian forward, Barcelona is seeking to strengthen their wing positions, showing interest in the English pair while also monitoring Rafael Leao and Nico Williams.

Rashford impresses with Aston Villa, Greenwood with Marseille

In January, Marcus Rashford was loaned to Aston Villa, where he has made a notable impact under Unai Emery. The Villans hold a £40 million option to purchase him permanently; however, Rashford himself prefers a transfer to Barcelona this summer.

The Blaugrana appreciate his versatility, as he can effectively play both as a winger and a central forward. Additionally, Barcelona is monitoring Rashford’s former teammate, Mason Greenwood, who has recorded a goal tally in Ligue 1 this season that is second only to Ousmane Dembele.

The Red Devils transferred the winger to Marseille last year for £26.6 million, retaining a 50% sell-on clause and a buyback option. Atletico Madrid has also expressed interest in Greenwood, who is likely to move to Spain despite receiving attention from Premier League clubs.

It is clear that both players would enhance the quality of the Barcelona squad, but it remains uncertain which player the Catalans will ultimately choose.
