INEOS will be furious as 25-yo star demands United let him join rampant Spanish side – report

Real Betis seems resolute in their efforts to persuade Manchester United to permit Antony to remain for an additional season, especially considering the player’s contentment with his situation at the Spanish club.

Since joining Betis, Antony has revitalized his career, establishing himself as a pivotal player and even stating that he is experiencing the best period of his life.

Naturally, his impressive performance has attracted attention from clubs such as FC Barcelona and Juventus, who have shown interest in acquiring his services. In light of the favorable interest surrounding Antony, Manchester United is reportedly open to accepting offers around £20 million, aiming to recoup some of their investment, albeit at a potential loss.

Nevertheless, Betis may not be inclined to relinquish a player who has significantly enhanced their prospects this season. In fact, it seems they may pursue another arrangement to extend Antony’s stay in Spain.

“Real Betis are stepping up their efforts to keep Brazilian winger Antony for another season after a successful loan spell from Manchester United, according to Caught Offside sources,” CaughtOffside reported this morning.

“The 25-year-old has rediscovered his form in Spain, becoming a key figure under Manuel Pellegrini’s system. His resurgence at Betis has not only reignited his career but also solidified his desire to remain in Seville.”

“As per sources close to the club, the winger is eager for the two clubs to reach an agreement that will extend his stay beyond this season,” the article continued. “Betis are currently negotiating with Man United for another loan deal.”

“While United are open to a permanent sale and have dropped their asking price to around €30-35 million, Betis face financial limitations that make a permanent transfer challenging,” the report explained. “Instead, the Spanish club are exploring the possibility of an “onerous” loan, one that would include a loan fee and shared salary obligations.”

While a further loan arrangement may not be the most favorable option for United in terms of recouping their expenses, the club may be inclined to consider such an agreement, especially considering Antony’s positive experience at Betis.

Nevertheless, this transaction could yield financial advantages for United in the long term, particularly if Antony enhances his market value through continued outstanding performances.
