What Bruno Fernandes told Al-Hilal about leaving Man United, transfer meeting scheduled for £195m offer

Speculation around Bruno Fernandes and the Saudi Pro League is refusing to go away ahead of the summer transfer window.

Since joining Manchester United in 2020, Bruno Fernandes has been the face of the team and the club captain.

This season, Fernandes has shattered records with United despite the team’s disappointing Premier League performance.

All parties have had a rough season, and Fernandes’ annoyance finally got the better of him against West Ham this past weekend.

Fernandes is intent on winning the Europa League, but if United loses in Bilbao, the top-tier Portuguese midfielder will have lost another season’s worth of hardware.

Bruno Fernandes told Al-Hilal when he will consider leaving Man United

Real Madrid had expressed interest in Fernandes earlier in the season, but Ruben Amorim swiftly put an end to such rumors.

Al-Hilal has made Fernandes a major target for the Saudi Pro League, which appears ready to sign United’s lucky player.

Fernandes has not indicated that he wants to leave United, and Amorim is desperate to keep him this summer. However, according to recent sources, a transfer meeting regarding his future is scheduled for this week.

Journalist Ben Jacobs claims that Fernandes’ camp is still in contact with Al-Hilal and that he would have a week to make a decision regarding his future.

Fernandes has already rejected Saudi offers to leave United last year, and Jacobs claims that the United midfielder told Al-Hilal that he wants to stay at United until at least after the 2026 World Cup.

What Al-Hilal are willing to offer Bruno Fernandes

Although it appears Fernandes is keen to remain at Old Trafford for at least another year, it is difficult for anyone to turn down the money that Al-Hilal is offering.

Al-Hilal has allocated more than £500 million in advance of the summer to sign top players.

Prioritizing Mohamed Salah above Fernandes, Al-Hilal is now focusing on the United captain after the Egyptian signed a new deal with Liverpool.

Al-Hilal will make Fernandes an offer of £195 million over a three-year period, which is equal to £65 million year or £1.25 million each week.

Ultimately it will be up to United if Fernandes is sold as he has a contract valid until 2027, but if a British record bid is made then Ineos would also find it difficult to turn down.
