BREAKING!!!Leny Yoro admits he’s never seen anything like the ‘crazy’ quality Lisandro Martinez has for Man Utd Leny Yoro has picked out something about Lisandro Martinez that is unlike anything he’s ever seen a defender do before.

When he’s fit, Manchester United have one of the best centre-backs in the world in the form of Lisandro Martinez. The Argentine is a World Cup winner, and when he’s at his best, he is completely unplayable.

Martinez is among the best ball-playing defenders in the world, and he manages to cope physically in the Premier League despite his diminutive stature, which is a testament to how good he is.

Now, Martinez has been praised for one quality he has that leaves Leny Yoro so impressed.

Leny Yoro admits his awe over one aspect of Lisandro Martinez’s ability

Leny Yoro has appeared on the latest episode of the Inside Carrington podcast and discussed his teammate Lisandro Martinez in the process.

When asked whether he is learning from Martinez’s ability on the ball, Yoro admitted his awe over the number six.

“Someone like Licha, I think I have never seen a centre-back with this ability on the ball. It’s crazy.”

Yoro then admitted that progressing the ball is something that he is looking to improve in his game.

“I try to bring the ball forward when I can. I know I have to improve on this. This is my main target for a centre-back today. This is really important.”

Leny Yoro is starting to show his on-ball ability for Manchester United

During his podcast appearance, Yoro admitted he used to play as a defensive midfielder until he was around the age of 15. Well, recent performances have made this obvious.

Yoro has started to showcase his composure, ball carrying, and passing from defence on a more consistent basis, no doubt aided by the confidence he will have from Michael Carrick putting faith in him.

He has gone from an erratic at times liability, to now being equally as assured as Harry Maguire, which should mean he has earned his place in the starting line-up even when Martinez returns.

Yoro and Ayden Heaven could be a brilliant pair in a centre-back duo, given that both have very few weaknesses and, importantly, are superb on the ball.

United are set for a decade in this position, as both could be league-leading, with Yoro showing in 2026 why United moved so swiftly to sign him.
