Manchester United remain 4th in the Premier League table after they were held to a 1-1 draw by West Ham at the London Stadium on Tuesday night.

Michael Carrick maintained his unbeaten start as United head coach as Benjamin Sesko struck deep into added time to cancel out Tomas Soucek’s opener at the start of the second half. United were bailed out by their substitutes after what was an overall disappointing team performance.

The result has still strengthened United’s hopes of Champions League qualification at the end of the season, with 12 matches left of the Premier League campaign. A top-four finish will be enough for a place in the top continental club competition, while a top-five finish will also likely be sufficient based on the current Uefa coefficient rankings.
