Furious Luke Shaw rages at Rasmus Hojlund in telling Man United message

Luke Shaw, a defender for Manchester United, vented his annoyance at Rasmus Hojlund following Sunday’s 2-0 loss to West Ham at home.

Just prior to the half, Tomas Soucek gave the visitors the lead. Mohammed Kudus struck the ball into the area after Aaron Wan-Bissaka found him, and the Czech scored from close range. After striking United on the break, the Hammers doubled their lead in the second half, with Jarrod Bowen applying the finish at the back post to make it 2-0.

Hojlund, who still lacks confidence in front of goal, was one player who struggled particularly. This season, the striker has only managed four goals in the Premier League.

Additionally, Shaw was unable to conceal his annoyance with the Denmark international. The United full-back was heard yelling, “RASSS, come on!” when Hojlund lost possession of the ball near the end of the first half.

With two games remaining, United’s most recent loss at Old Trafford drops them to 16th place in the top tier standings. Before facing Tottenham Hotspur in the season-ending Europa League final on May 21, Ruben Amorim’s team will visit Chelsea and host Aston Villa.

Reds manager Amorim has talked about the challenges he and Spurs manager Ange Postecoglou have had during a challenging season for both teams. Spurs are now one spot below United in the Premier League standings, in 17th position.

“It is quite similar, even for me and Ange,” he told TNT Sports after Thursday’s 4-1 win over Athletic Bilbao. “It is a tough moment.

“One of us is going to win. It is going to be a big final, we are going to try to win.”

When asked about facing Spurs in the final, he replied: “First of all, you have to think in the odds, it is hard for a team to lose four times in a row. So we can think about it in that way. We need to have a full squad and to study the game quite well.
