Ruben Amorim has admitted that he is to blame for Manchester United’s increasing problems, and if he is unable to alter the team’s course, he may think about relinquishing control.
With West Ham the most recent team to triumph at Old Trafford, United will record their worst-ever Premier League finish this season. Although Amorim was hired in November to succeed Erik ten Hag, the team has regressed under his leadership.
Amorim was brought in after winning a championship at Sporting Lisbon, but he hasn’t been able to establish a winning recipe in Manchester. The team is currently without a win in seven games, five of which have been losses.
Amorim, who purchased his special 3-4-3 system with him, has been unable to convince his players to perform as he had anticipated, and their home record has been depressing. He has insisted that he is responsible for any problems, not his players, and he is aware that he needs to resolve their dilemma as quickly as possible.
He said: “It’s not the players’ fault. It’s my fault, I’m responsible. If we cannot change that really fast, we should give our place to different persons”.
