Fans think they’ve figured out what Luke Shaw shouted at Rasmus Hojlund during Man Utd vs West Ham

Fans think they have worked out what Luke Shaw said to Manchester United teammate Rasmus Hojlund in the first half of the clash with West Ham on Sunday.

United was back in Premier League action against Athletic Club, who were barely behind them in the table going into the match, after defeating the Hammers 4-1 to go to the Europa League final on Thursday.

In the 28th minute, Tomas Soucek gave the visitors the lead, and United played particularly poorly for extended stretches at Old Trafford.

Hojlund scored against Athletic, but in his most recent game, he fell short, and Shaw was very annoyed by the Dane.

Since joining United, the former Atalanta striker’s hold-up player has left a lot to be desired. Shaw seemed to express his annoyance by yelling when he lost the ball.

One fan on X claimed: “Luke Shaw screams at Hojlund after failing to hold the ball ‘RASSSS COME ON!!’.

A second had the very same observation and wrote: “Just before the half time whistle Luke Shaw screamed at Rasmus Hojlund after failing to hold the ball: ‘RAS COME ON!’

A third added: “LOL Luke Shaw screaming at Hojlund after giving it away AGAIN.”

Victor Lindelof took Shaw’s place shortly after halftime after he was substituted out due to injury concerns. Just a few minutes later, Jarrod Bowen, a former United defender, was set up by Aaron Wan-Bissaka to double West Ham’s advantage to 2-0.

After their worst-ever domestic campaign, United may end up finishing in 17th position, just one spot above the relegation zone, with two Premier League games left.

Importantly, though, if they defeat Spurs in the Europa League final on Wednesday, May 21, in Bilbao, they will only need one more victory to return to the Champions League.

Before facing Spurs in the all-English final, United will play Champions League-chasing Chelsea on Friday. On the last day of the season, May 25, they visit Aston Villa to wrap out the campaign.
