OFFICIAL NOW: Unveiling to be done Today as Man United finally reached underground agreement to sign £70m Top European Superstar who scored against Gaudiola’s team this season – Player will be unveiled after Leed friendly game tomorrow with Medical Done
Manchester United are set to undergo a summer of rebuilding where they will have to find a way to build a squad that is ready to be competitive at the highest level.
Ruben Amorim has already started working towards reinforcing the squad and the club have announced their first signing – Mathus Cunha from Wolves.
The Brazilian attacker has been brilliant for Wolves this season. Cunha has emerged as the fulcrum of the Premier League side, emerging as both a goal-scoring outlet and a creative force. In 36 games across all competitions, he has scored 17 goals and provided six assists.
As per The Telegraph, Man Utd have agreed terms worth £114.5million in fee and wages to sign the 26-year-old attacker.
The transfer fee that they have agreed with Wolves is £62.5m, which is the player’s release clause. Beyond that, they have also agreed a contract worth £200k-per-week, which works out to £52m over the course of five years.
The Red Devils are offering the Brazilian a significant wage to continue his career at Old Trafford. It might be an indirect effect that Man Utd will have to undergo, considering the fact that they don’t have any European football to offer to potential transfer targets.
