Amorim sack now inevitable after ‘barely a footballer’ off the bench

Ruben Amorim has very few defenders among Manchester United fans after yet another defeat at Manchester City.

He is coming under fire for decisions on Kobbie Mainoo, Harry Maguire and that damned formation.

We also have a non-Manchester Mailbox that focuses on Florian Wirtz and you can find that here.

We start with a rare Amorim defence

Four matches into the season, having faced two of the Big 6, there is no immediate cause for concern. Signs of potential were evident in the match against Man City, yet ultimately, the defense faltered. Amorim acquired the attackers and goalkeeper he desired, but now it is essential that he receives support in the transfer window for the center backs and central midfielders he requires, allowing Captain Bruno to advance his position. It is at that point that we will witness Amorim’s strategies coming to fruition.

In the match against Arsenal, United truly ought to have secured a victory, and had the referee not disrupted Captain Bruno’s penalty routine (for which he has yet to issue an apology), United would have achieved three wins out of four and positioned themselves in 2nd or 3rd place. I urge you to maintain your confidence in Amorim; I am convinced that with a few strategic signings in January (a defender and a central midfielder), United could ascend the league table and contend for a top-four finish without the burden of European commitments.

To all supporters of United, I ask for your patience; Ferguson took time to achieve success, and both the manager and the club require your unwavering support at this moment.
Royston Soh (not Amorim, I assure you)

And then it’s all pretty much Amorim out

Honestly, Amorim appears to be out of his depth, which is not entirely his fault considering the club’s toxic environment and lack of ambition. However, his inexperience is evident, and he often resembles a lost puppy dog.

He frequently suggests that he desires to be dismissed by the press, leading one to speculate that he regrets leaving Sporting. It also raises the possibility that he joined United primarily for a substantial financial gain. His candidness with the media, coupled with his inflated ego, may soon lead to his dismissal. One must question why he accepted the position in the first place, given his lack of experience.

He is indeed working with some dreadful players who consistently fail to perform in league matches week after week. Nevertheless, he must coach them to achieve some level of improvement. I find it difficult to sympathize with his decision to start Shaw in every match while neglecting to include Mainoo or Heaven. The team desperately requires energy, yet he continues to field Casemiro and Shaw, who embody the opposite of fitness and vitality. I cannot comprehend his choice to start Shaw, particularly after the Europa League defeat last year. Martinez is essential, but unfortunately, he seems fragile.

Since his arrival, Amorim has managed to secure an average of one point per game in the Premier League. Accumulating 31 points in 31 matches is quite alarming and overall quite disappointing. Are we really going to dismiss another manager in the middle of the season? He ought to consider altering his formation and excluding some prominent players from the lineup if he hopes to instigate any change, as the situation appears to be deteriorating rather than showing any signs of improvement.

Oh and well done to United for signing another inexperienced striker. The fact that Sesko and Zirksee are United’s two number 9 strikers is actually so bad. Hoijland will smash it at Napoli under Conte given he is gonna be managed properly, and honestly we are probably gonna finish between 12th to 15th in the league again. An incompetent team will a scared manager, what a great combination!
Rami, Dubai (Times under Ole don’t look so bad now do they?)
