Manchester United’s leadership group were in attendance to watch the derby defeat to City.

If there is one positive to emerge from Manchester United’s loss to Manchester City, it was that Ineos’ key men were there to witness it.

Billionaire investor Sir Jim Ratcliffe was in attendance at The Etihad, along with chief executive Omar Berrada, and football director Jason Wilcox.

They saw Ruben Amorim’s side fall to a depressing 3-0 defeat, and did not look happy to be there.

Jason Wilcox misery sums up Manchester United’s day

The Ineos trio was photographed at The Etihad, and their facial expressions conveyed the narrative of Manchester United’s dismal outcome.

Ratcliffe and Berrada endeavored to maintain their composure, while Wilcox appeared dejected, irritated, and even furious.

With his arms crossed, Wilcox exhibited a look that suggested ‘if looks could kill’ as he observed the performance of Manchester United’s players.

Wilcox and Berrada had previously been employed by City and returned for this match as individuals facing a bit of pressure.

Berrada was responsible for recruiting Ruben Amorim after the dismissal of Erik ten Hag last year.

Meanwhile, Wilcox has played a significant role in spearheading recruitment, only to witness United’s players falter in yet another crucial match.

Manchester United waiting on signings to come good

Manchester United made significant investments during the summer transfer window and are now anticipating a substantial return.

Bryan Mbeumo has commenced the season strongly, having already scored twice, and he was the standout performer for United in the match against City.

Benjamin Sesko was making his debut league start but has yet to leave a mark, while Matheus Cunha was absent from the match due to injury.

The new goalkeeper for United remained on the bench, as Ruben Amorim was hesitant to introduce Senne Lammens for his first appearance at The Etihad.

Wilcox and his team are expected to be at Old Trafford for United’s upcoming home match against Chelsea. It is hoped that there will be reasons for optimism.
