Sheikh Jassim makes decision on launching new Man Utd takeover bid after losing out to Sir Jim Ratcliffe

Qatari politician Sheikh Jassim has made a decision on launching a new bid for Manchester United nearly two years after losing out to Sir Jim Ratcliffe.

In November 2022, the Glazer family, who purchased a controlling stake in United in May 2005, announced that they would be willing to sell their shares in the club.

Reacting to the news, a Qatari group led by Sheikh Jassim bin Hamad al-Thani reportedly attempted to complete a massive £4.5billion takeover, but ultimately missed out to INEOS chief Ratcliffe.
