This summer, Manchester United had to make some crucial choices. There were other players that Ruben Amorim no longer favored, but fortunately, the Red Devils were able to move them on, either permanently or on loan.

Man Utd was eager to strengthen their goalkeeping position during the summer transfer window. In the end, they waited until Deadline Day to sign Belgium’s Royal Antwerp’s gifted Senne Lammens.

Andre Onana has no place in the team since the 23-year-old is coming to Old Trafford with the intention of becoming the number one player.

According to Fabrizio Romano, the Cameroonian goalie has agreed to a loan deal with Trabzonspor.

In addition to confirming that Onana will be joining the Turkish team on a season-long loan, the Italian journalist disclosed that, with bonuses and the signing price, his salary will be marginally higher than what he received at Manchester United.

Onana makes about £120,000 a week at Manchester United, so it’s beneficial for the team that they were able to temporarily remove his salaries off their books.

He could be permanently moved by the club next summer if he does well in Turkey.

The former Ajax goalie had David de Gea-sized boots to fill when he joined Manchester United. Onana’s tenure at Old Trafford has not been flawless, despite his stellar time at Inter Milan, when he was a key player in their drive for the Champions League.

Nevertheless, that doesn’t mean Onana lacks talent. He can have a highly respectable profession if he does better in his application and concentration. He is unlikely to have a future at the M16 now that Manchester United has moved on, so we’ll have to wait and see how things work out.
