Man Utd fans left raging as Sir Jim Ratcliffe makes drastic decision just days after losing Europa League final

Manchester United fans have been left shocked following Sir Jim Ratcliffe’s drastic decision just days after their Europa League final heartbreak.

Man United suffered a crushing 1-0 defeat to Tottenham in Wednesday’s Europa League final.

The defeat in Bilbao leaves the club in a dire financial situation as the club’s chiefs had been hoping to earn £100 million from qualifying for the Champions League.

The Red Devils have subsequently made EVERY player available for transfer, including club captain and star man Bruno Fernandes, who reportedly has a hugely lucrative offer on the table.

The club will also reduce their staff and make further cuts in a controversial decision, according to The Daily Mail.

The report claims Man United have ‘begun the process’ of telling staff they have lost their jobs following the team’s Europa League final defeat.

It has been claimed ‘some of the 200 employees’ at risk of redundancy are being informed of their fate this week.

Man United CEO Omar Berrada informed staff in February that more redundancies were on their way as part of a ‘transformation plan’ aimed at returning the club to ‘profitability’, which followed 250 people losing their jobs last year.

Per the outlet’s sources, they have expressed ‘surprise’ at the timing of the move to deliver the news to staff so soon after their defeat to Spurs.

It is not known if Ratcliffe and his INEOS team plan more cuts to the workforce, but morale is said to be low inside the club. ‘Popular’ and ‘long-standing’ employees are set to depart.
