Fresh injury update emerges on Man United star Matheus Cunha, fans will be delighted

Earlier this summer, Manchester United finalized the acquisition of Wolverhampton Wanderers’ Matheus Cunha.

They fulfilled his Molineux contract’s £62.5 million release clause. In Saturday’s 3-2 victory over Burnley, Cunha was used in the number nine position.

He signaled for help right away after suffering a muscle injury while chasing a long ball.

It became evident as he hit the ground that he would not be able to participate in the remainder of the game.

Although the club has not yet formally released an update, United supporters have received positive news from trustworthy insider Sully Talkz.

He revealed on X: “Understand Matheus Cunha’s injury isn’t as serious as first feared after initial scans but the extent or exact type of injury is not yet known.

“He added that the Brazilian did some “light upper body gym work yesterday” and the club have agreed for him to stay and continue his recovery at Carrington.

The 26-year-old also pulled out of Brazil’s forthcoming international matches after head coach Carlo Ancelotti selected him in the team.

Despite having a great start to his United career, Cunha has not scored in four games.

He hit the post at Fulham and was the most productive offensive player against Arsenal.

After the international break, the Red Devils take on Manchester City, and manager Ruben Amorim will be hoping that Cunha is fit to start the pivotal match.

Although he was supposed to play as the left number ten, Amorim has also played him as a center striker so that Benjamin Sesko can become accustomed to the team’s style of play.

Cunha is crucial to United’s attack and the fans will hope that he can make a swift recovery.
