Enough is enough: Man Utd need to sell 4/10 ‘dud’ ASAP, Bournemouth performance seals it [view]

Manchester United look set to have a busy summer transfer window when it comes to incomings and outgoings, and the club have to sell Manuel Ugarte as a priority.

So far this season, Ugarte has started just seven games in the Premier League, but he’s featured in 21, primarily off the bench.

Casemiro, Bruno Fernandes and Kobbie Mainoo have all been preferred options in the middle of the park ahead of him, in what is his second season at the club.

In his first campaign, Ugarte was more of a regular, starting 22 Premier League games, but he’s seen his minutes rapidly decrease this season.

Man Utd Need to Sell ‘Dud’

Ugarte came on against Bournemouth in the final stages of the game after Harry Maguire was sent off, but despite making just six passes, the Uruguayan showed once again why United need to offload him in the summer transfer window.

Samuel Luckhurst described Ugarte as a ‘dud’ after the game, after he gave away a needless foul in United’s defensive third after 100 minutes, applying pressure on Michael Carrick’s side late on.

Again, despite the lack of minutes in the game, the Daily Express gave Ugarte a 4/10 rating, suggesting that he was ‘anonymous’.

We’ve seen enough of Ugarte now to know that he’s not a player at the level required for a side who are competing to finish in the Champions League places, and United need to do everything they can to try and claw back the £50m+ they paid for him.
