 Nicky Butt Urges Man Utd to Sign Victor Osimhen!

Is Benjamin Šeško the long-term answer at Old Trafford? According to 1999 Treble winner Nicky Butt, the answer is “not yet.”

Despite Šeško’s recent explosion in form netting 8 goals in his last 11 games since Michael Carrick took charge in January Butt believes the 22-year-old isn’t ready to lead the line if United return to the Champions League next season.

“The Same Mistake as Hojlund”

Speaking to Paddy Power and The Mirror recently, Butt warned that United risk repeating past mistakes by putting too much pressure on unproven youngsters.

“I don’t think he can carry the club up front on his own… it’s the same mistake as Rasmus Højlund. A young, unproven striker, a lot of money, too much weight on his shoulders. Šeško might be ready in two or three years, but not now, and certainly not for the Champions League.”

Why Victor Osimhen is “The One”

Butt believes the solution is currently playing in Turkey. Victor Osimhen, who has been in sensational form for Galatasaray, is the man Butt wants to see in a red shirt this summer.

“Gettable” Status: Butt noted that players in the Turkish Süper Lig are often more attainable than those at rival European giants.

The Full Package: “I think he’s powerful and quick; he can run in behind; he’s strong; he’s got a good touch… he’s excellent in the air.”
