Despite interest from MLS clubs Inter Miami and LA Galaxy in signing him on a free transfer, and fans chanting “one more year” after his recent goals.

CASEMIRO SPEAKS: “The Decision is Made and Done”  No U-Turn for Man Utd Icon!

Is he staying or is he going? After weeks of “one more year” chants echoing around Old Trafford, Casemiro has finally broken his silence on the rumors that he might reverse his decision to leave Manchester United this June.

Despite a massive upturn in form under interim boss Michael Carrick, the Brazilian legend has confirmed that his mind is made up. Speaking after Brazil’s recent friendly against France, the 34-year-old provided a reality check for the United faithful.

“The Decision is Made and Done”

While Casemiro admitted he is “enjoying it a lot” in Manchester right now, he was firm about his future:

“I do really believe the decision is made and done. I am enjoying myself right now, but I believe there will be some difficult [emotional] moments in these final games at Manchester United. My objective NOW is to get the club BACK into the Champions League.”

The “Carrick Effect” & The Waived Clause

The rumors of a reversal started because Casemiro has been arguably United’s best player since January. Under “midfield specialist” Michael Carrick, he has scored 7 Premier League goals this season his best-ever return in Europe.

The Internal Situation:

The Automatic Extension: Reports from the Manchester Evening News confirm that United and Casemiro actually agreed to waive a clause that would have automatically triggered a one-year extension if he reached 35 starts.

The Respectful Exit: Both INEOS and Casemiro want an “orderly departure.” By waiving the clause, Carrick can keep starting the Brazilian without the club being forced into a £24 million wage commitment for next season.

 Destination: Miami or LA?

With a United stay officially off the table, the race for his signature is reaching fever pitch. The Athletic reports that both Inter Miami and LA Galaxy have established concrete interest.

A move to Miami would see Casemiro reunite with former Real Madrid teammates and potentially replace the retired Sergio Busquets, while the Galaxy view him as the marquee leader needed to return them to MLS dominance.

 Casemiro’s “Last Dance” Stats (2025/26)

He isn’t just “seeing out” his contract; he’s dominating:

Goals: 7 (Most in his career)

Pass Completion: 84%

Tackles Won: 36

League Position: 3rd (Crucial in the UCL race!)
