Virgil van Dijk shares his honest verdict on Manchester United’s summer signings

Liverpool captain Virgil van Dijk has given his verdict on Manchester United’s latest signings ahead of the North West derby on Sunday.

Speaking to Sky Sports, Virgil van Dijk shared his feelings about the business Manchester United conducted in the summer.

United made five signings in the summer, including Senne Lammens from Royal Antwerp on deadline day. The other signings were Benjamin Sesko, Bryan Mbeumo, Diego Leon and Matheus Cunha.

“I think quality, obviously, they can hurt any team and that’s what they have been doing at times throughout the season,” Van Dijk told Sky Sports.

“Like I said, it’s a game on its own that we have to be ready for whatever scenario you know set pieces or counterattack, or you know anything. So we have to be ready.”

Ruben Amorim seeks milestone win at Anfield

Ruben Amorim is looking for his first win away at Anfield, and he will be demanding strong performances from some of his new signings.

United drew 2-2 with Liverpool last season, with many United fans believing it was one of the best performances under Amorim despite being unable to secure three points.

It bodes well for United that Liverpool will go into the match after losing three consecutive games across all competitions.
