Senne Lammens handed one piece of advice after Man Utd star issued dressing room ‘ban’

Senne Lammens appears to have been appointed as Manchester United’s no. 1 goalkeeper and the young Belgian has now received some guidance

Former Manchester City defender Joleon Lescott has called on Senne Lammens to continue flying under the radar at Manchester United. The 23-year-old shot-stopper has featured in the club’s previous two Premier League fixtures and delivered impressive displays in both outings.

With the loaned-out Andre Onana and Altay Bayindir failing to convince under Ruben Amorim, Lammens arrived on transfer deadline day from Belgian outfit Royal Antwerp for £18.2million.

The keeper was anticipated to claim the number one spot in goal and following an adjustment period, he made his bow against Sunderland in a 2-0 triumph. Lammens kept a clean sheet on his debut and delivered a vital yet low-key performance in United’s 2-1 success over Liverpool last weekend.

His personality mirrors this quiet approach. He has allegedly forbidden any talk of clean sheets before matches as he considers it unlucky. This superstition extends to team-mates and relatives.

Double Premier League winner Lescott has encouraged Lammens to maintain his inconspicuous presence as this signals excellent goalkeeping displays.
