Ruben Amorim told where Man Utd will now finish in Premier League table, Ben Foster ‘totally’ agrees with prediction

Ben Foster has now backed one Premier League prediction for Manchester United and Ruben Amorim after the Brighton result at Old Trafford on the weekend.

Manchester United are rewriting the narrative in the 2025-26 campaign after a sudden burst of form has led to a turnaround in momentum for Ruben Amorim.

The Red Devils defeated Sunderland 2-0 at Old Trafford before the international break, which was followed by United’s 2-1 win over Liverpool at Anfield.

United hosted Brighton at Old Trafford on Saturday evening and the Red Devils have now made it three Premier League wins on the spin under Amorim.

Goals from Matheus Cunha and Casemiro in the first half and a sensational second-half brace from Bryan Mbeumo sealed United’s 4-2 victory over Brighton.

Ben Foster’s Man Utd prediction after Ruben Amorim’s men beat Brighton at Old Trafford

Manchester United have now climbed to sixth place in the Premier League table after their results against Sunderland, Liverpool and Brighton in October.

Ruben Amorim’s side are level on points with fifth-place Manchester City and United are one point clear of defending Premier League champions Liverpool.

During a discussion around United’s run of form in recent weeks, Robert told Ben Foster that he believes the Red Devils could now finish inside the top five.

“With the way the league’s going at the moment, you’d probably say they’re [Man Utd] going to finish in the top five, I would say,” he said on ‘Fozcast – The Ben Foster Podcast.’

Responding to Robert’s prediction, former United and England player Foster admitted that he could see the Red Devils securing a top-five finish this season.

“The way the league’s going, I totally agree with what Robert said,” he added.

“The way the league’s going now, I just think that the general quality of the league is so much better across the board that anybody and everybody seems to be beating anybody and everybody.

“So, we’re not going to see any record points tallies this season for sure.

“But from second, third, fourth, fifth, we could see like a much lower points total for them teams this season. So, anybody can get into it.”

Ben Foster looks ahead to Man Utd’s upcoming Premier League fixtures in November, including the Tottenham match

United are only one point adrift from the Premier League top four ahead of their visit to City Ground to face Nottingham Forest in their clash on Saturday afternoon.

The Red Devils will then travel away to Tottenham on 8th November, with Foster admitting that United have a “big ask” with getting a result from the Spurs tie.

Speaking on United’s upcoming matches, Foster asked: “Who have they got? The next two games, Man United, Jay, can you put them up there?

He continued: “I think it’s the Spurs game.”

“Yeah, the fifth game is the Spurs game, I think it is. So, it’s away at first [against Forest]. And then Spurs away. It’s a big ask, isn’t it? It’s a big ask.”

United and Nottingham Forest’s Premier League encounter at City Ground will kick off at 3pm UK time this weekend.
