Man Utd loanee should be recalled by Ruben Amorim in January after latest display… Nine recoveries, eight duels won

Manchester United’s young talents on loan this season are impressing, and one has now continued shining in a position where Ruben Amorim needs reinforcements.

Ruben Amorim and Jason Wilcox will be very encouraged by some of the performances Manchester United’s loanees have been putting in this season.

One top performer has been goalkeeper Radek Vitek, with the shot stopper at Bristol City, where he has quickly become among the best in the league.

Meanwhile, Ethan Wheatley has begun to shine for Northampton, with his latest performance being the best yet.

However, another player has been a standout despite his team being bottom of the Championship.

Harry Amass continues to shine despite Sheffield Wednesday’s struggles

When Manchester United loaned Harry Amass to Sheffield Wednesday, it was clear he would have a difficult season, although this hardship would help him become a much better player.

That has so far been the case, with Amass considered a shining light for Wednesday in their relegation-bound campaign.

On Wednesday, Amass started again at left-wing-back, and he was in top form despite Wednesday losing once again.

90 minutes

6 passes into final third
0.44 expected assists
8 defensive actions

1 clearance
2 interceptions
9 recoveries
8 duels won

Amass has been growing a lot during his loan; however, having proven himself more than good enough for the Championship and a standout at Wednesday, Amorim has a decision to make.

Ruben Amorim should consider recalling Harry Amass in January

Last season, there was very little between the first-team performances of Amass and Patrick Dorgu. Amass was quality at times under Amorim, and with left-wing-back being United’s problem position this season, the 18-year-old should be brought back in January.

Amorim initially chose to loan Amass and keep Diego Leon at the club; however, the Paraguayan has struggled at the U21 level and looks miles off being ready for first-team football.

Scouts have been baffled by Amass’ loan, believing he should be prioritised over Leon, and in January, this should happen.

Amass could play a role for United this season, rotating with Dorgu and potentially even taking his place in the starting line-up.

If Amorim and United decide to take Amass back, Leon would then need a loan, and perhaps Lausanne would be a good destination for the youngster.
