Man United target has release clause in contract

Manchester United boss Ruben Amorim will hope to see his side take advantage of Liverpool’s poor run of form when the two sides meet on Sunday afternoon.

The Red Devils defeated Sunderland 2-0 in their last outing before the international break, while Premier League champions Liverpool have lost their last two games in the competition.

At present, Amorim’s side sit tenth in the top slight standings, and the ex-Sporting CP boss will want to ease the pressure on him by picking up a positive result against the reigning champions at Anfield.

In the meantime, it has emerged that both a player wanted by both Man United and Liverpool has a release clause in his current contract.

According to TBR Football, Bournemouth’s Antoine Semenyo does have a release clause in his new deal, however it won’t be active during the upcoming January transfer window.

Semenyo, 25, has attracted interest from several clubs over the past 12 months having been hugely impressive for Andoni Iraola’s side.

The likes of Man United, Liverpool and Tottenham Hotspur are all said to be keen on the player, with Spurs particularly strong admirers.

Ghana international Semenyo signed a new deal with the Cherries over the summer, and the report claims that while his previous deal also included a release clause, the fee it is set at has increased as part of his new contract.

Semenyo has started the new season in fantastic form for Bournemouth, scoring six goals and providing three assists in seven Premier League matches for the south coast side so far.

The Ghanaian’s impressive performances haven’t gone unnoticed, though, with Spanish side Atletico Madrid and Italian outfits AC Milan and Juventus also all said to be monitoring the forward.

Bournemouth are said to be desperate to keep hold of the attacker, who can play on either flank.
