7 players in danger of missing Liverpool vs Man Utd as Arne Slot faces problem

Liverpool is set to host Manchester United in the Premier League on Sunday, but Arne Slot has a number of injury concerns to contend with ahead of the clash at Anfield

As the Premier League gears up for action, Liverpool could be without seven players for the team’s clash against Manchester United on Sunday.

United’s manager, Ruben Amorim, has seen his squad’s fitness issues ease in recent weeks, with Matheus Cunha, Diogo Dalot, and Mason Mount all making a return. Mount celebrated his first start since August by scoring a goal in the 2-0 triumph over Sunderland before the October international break.

Following this victory, Amorim is targeting consecutive Premier League wins for the first time since he took charge. A significant boost for the Red Devils is that they might be heading to Merseyside with a fully-fit squad.

Lisandro Martinez is nearing a comeback after returning to training, although he’s likely to be slowly reintroduced after damaging his ACL in February.

Noussair Mazraoui, who missed United’s last match, could be available to face Liverpool.

On the other hand, Liverpool’s manager, Arne Slot, has some potentially serious concerns about several key players, including two relatively new ones.

Ibrahima Konate was forced to leave the field during the defeat to Chelsea due to a thigh issue, leading France to announce over the weekend that he had returned to Liverpool.

Ryan Gravenberch filled in at center-back when Konate was taken off last weekend, but if Gravenberch remains out of action, Slot may not have this option.

This is due to Gravenberch being subbed off at half-time during the Netherlands’ World Cup qualifying win over Finland.

“Ryan indicated he had some minor hamstring problems,” stated Netherlands manager Ronald Koeman.

“Of course, we didn’t take any risks with that.”
