Leon demonstrated his skills for United during training and received ample playing time throughout the tour. In the USA, he provided an assist against Bournemouth; however, he has not participated in any first-team matches since then.
Nevertheless, BBC Sport journalist Simon Stone has indicated that Leon is still part of the first team at Carrington. Although there were expectations for him to play with the U21s, Amorim has opted to retain Leon within the first team.
Internally, United regards this decision as a positive one, as it offers the teenager an invaluable learning opportunity. Furthermore, it highlights Amorim’s enthusiasm for Leon, as he has chosen to keep him involved with the senior squad.

Amorim being a fan of Leon bodes well, and if Patrick Dorgu’s struggles continue a debut could soon arrive.
