Sources: Euro outfit submit official offer to sign 26-year-old Man United wide player

Eyüpspor have submitted an official offer for Manchester United’s Dutch left-back Tyrell Malacia, who has been out of the squad since the start of the season.

The 26-year-old is still labeled as one of the team’s “bomb squad” players and is not included in manager Ruben Amorim’s plans.

Malacia is wanted by the Istanbul team on loan until the end of the current campaign. StrettyNews has been told by those familiar with the matter that negotiations have started, but the addition of a purchase option has not yet been decided. Eyüpspor has a significant timing advantage because Turkey’s transfer window is still open while England’s is closed.

Tyrell Malacia has no future at Man United

Malacia didn’t end up moving permanently, but he did spend the second half of the previous season on loan with PSV. Manchester United and Elche also had discussions earlier this summer, but they broke down because of differences over an obligatory purchase clause.

Eyüpspor’s strategy is regarded as a daring move to bolster their team and increase their profile abroad. Having played for Feyenoord, PSV, and Manchester United, Malacia offers both market value and experience.

Whether they can close the deal in the next days will be interesting to watch.\

Malacia needs to move on

The 26-year-old defender might also find the move suitable. At this point in his career, he has to play frequently; it won’t help him to sit on the bench at Manchester United. He is not seen as a crucial component of their future ambitions.

Malacia will try to resume playing regular football in order to restart his career. He will try to return to his best because he is still very much at the top of his game. Whether the 26-year-old is amenable to the move this summer will be interesting to observe.
