Manchester United star likely to follow in Andre Onana’s footsteps; agreement reached

Tyrel Malacia looks set to exit Manchester United on loan

It appears that Turkey has served as an excellent starting point for Manchester United this summer, particularly considering how the executives at Carrington successfully arranged a loan deal for Andre Onana to that location. With Ruben Amorim approving a possible loan agreement to Trabzonspor for the Cameroonian, along with United viewing this as a pathway to a permanent departure, the Premier League giants have successfully identified another interested party for one of their peripheral players.

United reach agreement for Malacia

Manchester Reds full-back Tyrell Malacia is nearing a departure, as Turkish club Eyupspor is prepared to secure his signature on a loan agreement for the current season.

As reported by Turkish journalist Resat Can Ozbudak, Manchester United has come to an agreement with Eyupspor for a season-long loan transfer.

Considering that the chances for the 26-year-old Dutchman at United would be rather limited, it appears quite reasonable to loan him out where he may have the opportunity to restore his confidence.

We previously observed Malacia on the verge of transferring to La Liga club Elche CF, but that deal ultimately did not come to fruition. However, a transfer to Turkey might prove to be a more advantageous option for him.

Author Opinion

Malacia’s transfer to Manchester United has not been entirely successful, and it would be beneficial for him to find a new environment where he can freely express himself and build his confidence. However, the 26-year-old must also maintain his fitness, considering that injuries posed significant challenges during his tenure at M16.

His contract at Old Trafford is set to expire in 2026, and it appears that he may be among the players Ruben Amorim is considering offloading from Carrington, given the limited impact he has had at M16. Currently, it seems imperative for him to maximize his opportunities in Turkey this season.

Despite the setbacks he has faced at M16, he is still relatively young and has the potential to revitalize his career. It will be intriguing to observe whether he can make a strong start in Turkey.

Do you believe Malacia can revive his career with a move to Turkey? We welcome your opinions in the comments section below.
