Head coach Ruben Amorim is relieved of some of the strain as Manchester United’s players enter the international break fresh off their first league victory of the year. Amorim’s future was in doubt following a Carabao Cup loss to Grimsby, but Bruno Fernandes’ last-minute penalty handed the Red Devils all three points.
However, there were still more injury concerns after the game. Both Mason Mount and Matheus Cunha were unable to play the entire ninety minutes, with Cunha leaving Brazil’s squad for the World Cup qualifying matches against Chile and Bolivia in September.
On September 14, United will play their next game at the Etihad Stadium against Manchester City. They start the game ahead of their local rivals, who won their first game away at Wolves but then lost back-to-back league games.

Dalot’s injury blow
Diogo Dalot’s withdrawal from Portugal’s squad for the September international break has given United yet another injury scare. On Saturday, Roberto Martinez’s squad will travel to Armenia before playing Hungary on the road.
Dalot participated in all ninety minutes of Saturday’s United victory over Burnley. Nuno Tavares, a former Arsenal player, has taken his spot when he was freed from Portugal duty.
