He is some talent!
JJ Gabriel has emerged as the most discussed young talent at Manchester United in recent weeks.
The 14-year-old has been excelling for the U18s team and currently ranks as the second-highest scorer in this season’s U18 Premier League, netting five goals.
The excitement surrounding him reached a peak last month when it was reported that he would be invited to train with Ruben Amorim’s first team, alongside notable players such as Bruno Fernandes, Benjamin Sesko, and Bryan Mbeumo.
There were speculations that Amorim might even consider Gabriel for a debut in the first team; however, GIVEMESPORT’s Steve Bates reported that the manager would not be ‘entertaining the possibility’.
Gabriel is the son of former Ireland defender Joe O’Cearuill, who earned two caps for the Boys in Green during their 2007 tour of the United States, playing against Ecuador and Bolivia.
O’Cearuill also played for St Pat’s and Brighton during his professional career.
In contrast, Gabriel has already represented England, his country of birth, at the U15 level.
From the perspective of Ireland, it appears we have yet another exceptionally talented and qualified young player whom we will have to observe from a distance.
