Man United captain Bruno Fernandes Receives Brutal Message From Juan Mata on Birthday

The United captain celebrated his 31st birthday on Monday, one day after his son’s birthday and two days after leading Portugal to a 5-0 victory over Armenia in their World Cup qualifying match.

Happy returns to their “creative machine” were the wishes of the former Sporting CP player’s club, United, in numerous birthday messages.

Mata, an ex-coworker, decided to rinse the Portuguese while wishing Fernandes a happy birthday on Instagram.

While the words “Happy birthday, I love you and I miss you” seemed lovely and sweet, the former Chelsea playmaker included an old, embarrassing photo of Fernandes with the message.

Unsurprisingly, Fernandes has not reshared the post but plenty of fans reacted to Mata going after his old pal and many were in disbelief about his antics.

One user on Reddit wrote: “Mata truly embraced his inner troll.”

A second commented: “How did he even get the picture.”

A third added: “Man’s an absolute savage.”

A fourth said: “Diabolical from Juan.”

Mata only played two years with Fernandes, departing Old Trafford in 2022 and venturing to Turkey with Galatasaray, before playing in Japan with Vissel Kobe and Australia with Western Sydney Wanderers.

Fernandes spoke about friendship with Mata

The two remain good friends though and keep in contact, with Fernandes hoping that he can go and visit Mata in Australia – a place where he did not rule out playing in.

“It’s a very beautiful police because he’s sent me loads of videos,” he told Stan Sport Football.

“Not when it’s cold like he told me but when it’s sunny and he has time to play golf. He goes to the beach, all these things to make me a little more sad of being in rainy Manchester.

“He spoke a lot of good things about the people, the environment, the space and everything. It’s a place that I will visit for sure, with him I hope.

“I hope he pays for the flight for me to go there and stay at his house.

“Who knows in the future if the chance comes and I’m in the mood to go and play in Australia, who knows?”
