Keys suggestion on Ruben Amorim replacement sums up grim Manchester United situation

Although we are only four matches into the Premier League season, Ruben Amorim’s long-term future at Manchester United has rapidly declined over the past month or so.

The Portuguese manager faced an exceptionally challenging beginning at Old Trafford during his inaugural season, finishing 14th in the league after joining the club in November. Nevertheless, there was optimism that a complete pre-season and summer transfer window would yield significantly better results this time.

Unfortunately, that has not been the reality up to this point.

The 3-0 defeat against Manchester City yesterday was arguably their poorest performance of the season thus far, as they were thoroughly outclassed by a City team that had previously been struggling.

Keys Had Shock Take On Who Could Replace Amorim At Manchester United

Ruben Amorim currently finds himself in a highly precarious situation at Manchester United. He has demonstrated minimal signs of being able to rectify the present circumstances, having secured only eight victories out of his 31 league matches while managing the club.

The management at Old Trafford will undoubtedly be contemplating his future if results do not improve swiftly, even if it necessitates the dismissal of a second manager within a mere 12 months.

During a discussion on beIN SPORTS, Richard Keys articulated the extent of Amorim’s shortcomings in his position and proposed a clear alternative should Manchester United decide to make a change in the upcoming weeks.

I don’t see a way out of this issue for them. Ruben Amorim clearly is not the man to lead Manchester United.

I think he looks lost, I think he looks like a scared rabbit every time the lights are turned on him. I think he still would leave if you gave him the encouragement to do so.

That’s just what I see from his body language…

He’s had 31 Premier League games and won eight. Across a season you’re getting relegated with form like that…

It’s frightening. This is where we expect to see them now…

Right now, Nuno [Espirito Santo] is a better option, and he’s available.

Nuno Espirito Santo performed exceptionally well at Nottingham Forest this season; however, the mere suggestion of someone of his caliber for the Manchester United position indicates the significant decline in their reputation in recent times.

Although it is yet to be determined which candidates might be evaluated as potential successors, it appears increasingly probable that Ruben Amorim will not be the individual to guide the club in the long run.
