According to GIVEMESPORT senior reporter Fabrizio Romano, Manchester United head coach Ruben Amorim will not sign Stuttgart star Angelo Stiller, and the Portuguese tactician is not expected to entice another midfield player to Old Trafford before the summer transfer window closes in an hour.
Benjamin Sesko, who joined the Red Devils last month in a deal worth up to £73.7 million from RB Leipzig, is the most costly acquisition, but they are running out of time to add more players to the team. The Red Devils have not been afraid to splash the cash ahead of today’s 7pm deadline.
Red Devils Making Addition Would be a Shock
Stiller won’t be a last-minute addition to Manchester United, and they are not close to improving their alternatives in the middle of the park, Romano stated in an interview with GMS’ Market Madness podcast on the second deadline day. The famous Italian reporter stated:
“At the moment, there is nothing really concrete. Yesterday, there were some reports about the possibility of going for Angelo Stiller. We spent all summer with rumours about Stiller and Spanish, Italian and English clubs, but he is not moving. Stiller will not go to Manchester United.
“There was no mission yesterday and there is nothing really concrete. Let’s see if, in the next hours, Manchester United make a surprise. But, at the moment, I’m not aware of any advanced negotiations.”
Stiller, who has been called “unbelievable,” is in the forefront of Stuttgart’s plans, and the Bundesliga powerhouses are adamant about keeping him on board rather to letting him go to a new place when they wouldn’t have much time to find a suitable substitute.
