A report published in The Mail indicates that Manchester United players are dissatisfied with Ruben Amorim’s tactical approach.
The report mentions: “It has been reported that some players have never felt at ease with the 3-4-2-1 formation that was implemented when Amorim took over from Erik ten Hag in the middle of last season last November.”
It further states: “Even one of his strongest supporters, captain Bruno Fernandes, is thought to be discontent with his role in a deeper midfield position.”
Amorim made efforts to retain Bruno Fernandes during the summer amidst interest from the Saudi Pro League, and the Portugal international has consistently shown public support for the head coach.
United In Focus recognizes that Ineos is ‘furious’ regarding the undermining of Ruben Amorim by sources linked to the dressing room.
Insider Graeme Bailey elaborates: “The primary concern for the club is the possibility of leaks resurfacing, with reports suggesting that players and squad members are not fully convinced by Amorim or his strategies.
“The club believed they had effectively eliminated this issue, viewing it as entirely detrimental to their objectives.
“United is firmly convinced they are in the process of building something significant, yet they will not and cannot permit internal dissatisfaction to affect the club as a whole.”
