Antony has been relishing his time in Spain since finalizing a permanent transfer from Manchester United.
The Brazilian departed United on deadline day to sign with Real Betis on a permanent basis. Antony returns to Seville after having spent the latter half of last season on loan with the La Liga team.
United reached an agreement valued at an initial €22 million (£19 million) with Betis for Antony, with the possibility of an additional €3 million (£2.6 million) in performance-related bonuses. Furthermore, United incorporated a substantial sell-on clause in the agreement, ensuring they will receive 50 percent of any profit Betis might generate from a future transfer.
This transfer followed Antony’s notification to United regarding his intention to leave the club this summer. The Brazilian is currently enjoying his life back in Spain and has already begun to make a notable impression during training sessions with Betis.
Betis shared a video from their training session this week, showcasing Antony’s participation. The former United winger was seen scoring with a volley inside the penalty area.
Antony will be eager to make his first appearance of the season for Betis when they face Levante in La Liga on Sunday afternoon. The 25-year-old netted nine goals and provided five assists for Betis during his loan period last season and is determined to increase that tally this year.
