The future of Manchester United forward Antony is still up in the air as the summer transfer window comes to a close.
During the second half of the previous season, Antony had a successful time at Real Betis, making 26 appearances for Los Verdiblancos and recording nine goals and five assists.
The players and management of Betis openly stated that they wanted to keep the Brazilian in Seville past the summer. In the meanwhile, United has been willing to let the 25-year-old go this summer.
However, because the two clubs have not yet reached an agreement, Antony is still at Carrington without a full preseason.
Real Betis make final offer for Antony
ElDesmarque, a Spanish publication, claims that Betis has now made their “final offer” for Antony.
They are prepared to pay the right winger’s salary and would like to sign him on loan for the 2025–2026 season.
According to reports, Betis wants United to respond to their offer with a “firm response” today.
The Brazilian international is making a lot of effort to go back to Seville. According to reports, Antony has turned down several offers in the hopes that the Red Devils will finally drop their asking prices and approve a move to Betis.
His representatives have told United once more in recent days that the player wants to rejoin Betis.
Manchester United want permanent exit
Ruben Amorim has no intention of reintegrating Antony into his first team plans at this time. The club’s leadership does not want to deal with the matter next summer as a result.
The Athletic claims that United is “expected to hold firm on only considering a permanent sale rather than another loan” for the former Ajax player, who paid £81.3 million to transfer to Old Trafford.
Despite having turned down “a couple of bids” from Chelsea, the source indicates that United is also anticipated to reach a deal with the Blues about Alejandro Garnacho’s transfer.
