Erik ten Hag is ready to make a sensational signing from former club Manchester United after taking the reins at Bayer Leverkusen, reports claim.
After months out of management following his sacking from United at the end of October, Ten Hag has signed a deal to take over from Xabi Alonso at Leverkusen and will begin a two-year contract on July 1.
The gig in the Bundesliga presents Ten Hag with the perfect opportunity to rebuild himself after a period at United where he won two trophies but ultimately failed to bring the glory days back to Old Trafford.
Garnacho spoke out about his omission from Ruben Amorim‘s Europa League final starting XI and his comments, in addition to criticism from his brother on social media, has led to the Portuguese boss coming down hard on the 20-year-old.
He was left out of the matchday squad for the final day of the season and it then came to light that a day prior, Amorim had effectively ended Garnacho’s United career when he told him, “You better pray that you can find a club to sign you” in front of his teammates.
