Just hours after winning their final Premier League game of the season against Aston Villa on Sunday, Man United were hopping straight on a plane here to South-East Asia ahead of two friendlies, with a fixture against Hong Kong also coming up on Friday.
Ruben Amorim’s men will not get to have a break just yet, with two friendlies on the horizon ahead of an international break for some, after which the squad will get around a month away before returning for preseason.
Early into preseason, a friendly with newly-promoted rivals Leeds United awaits in mid-July, before United will jet off to the USA for the Premier League Summer Series.
Amorim will hope to have much of the groundwork in place by that point as the club looks to recover from a disastrous season both on and off the pitch, resulting in a 15th-placed finish and defeat in the Europa League final.
